Work Related Learning Conference 2008

Work-Related Learning 2008

One Day Conference

9 October 2008 - UTEX Towerlands, Braintree

"Work-related learning plays a vital role in young peoples' journey to a successful adulthood" - Jim Knight, Minister for Schools and Learners

Schools and colleges are becoming increasingly aware of the need to be successful in the way they work with employers and deliver work-related learning across the curriculum.

Are you ready to deliver valued quality work-related learning to your students? This FREE one- day Pan-Essex conference will bring you together with some of the key figures in this process.

John Edmunds, Head of Work-related Learning Policy at the DCSF, will open the conference outlining the government's latest plans for developing Work-related Learning.

We are also pleased to welcome the QCA lead on Work-related Learning, Gary Forest. Gary will help us understand the QCA framework for career and work-related learning.

Helping you deliver, there will be interactive workshops at this conference - led by teachers and educationalists - that will show you how schools and providers are developing innovative approaches for the benefit of young people across Essex.

All delegates will also be able to talk with Link-Ed delivery partners - up to ten education business partnerships offering a range of programmes meeting the various elements of the QCA's framework of WRL as well as other exhibitors helping create awareness of the range of resources on offer.

Please look through the programme enclosed and complete the registration section. We look forward to welcoming you in October.

Regards
