Link-Ed is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to encouraging and developing the links between the worlds of business and education.
Link-Ed was set up in 2001 to help businesses and schools to form the vital connections needed for not only successful, but productive work related learning.
Link-Ed do this by co-ordinating, promoting and developing Education Business Partnership programmes delivered by partner organisations to meet local needs.

....support the student requirements for Work Related Learning through a wide-ranging programme of activities. These programmes include learning through the experience of work, learning about work, work practices, learning skills for work and relating the curriculum to the working world.
These are just a sample of our delivery programmes
- Work Experience - Traditional block placements, extended or specialised placements designed to complement specific vocational studies including Diplomas.
- Business Focus Days - Using the knowledge and experience of business professionals to explain how real businesses work supporting and extending curriculum input
- Mentoring - Providing guidance and motivation for individual pupils to help them achieve their potential through the use of business personnel.
- Business Challenges - Typically one-day competitive events where teams of students tackle business problems under the guidance of a business mentor
- Running real businesses in schools & colleges - Young Enterprise programmes offer business and enterprise learning to young people.
- STEM - Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics: A wide range of activities designed to create a passion for science and engineering careers in young people and relate these subjects to work environment.
